We are looking for a casual skipper to operate our 38ft motor cruiser LaDrone for regular and private cruises on the Huon River.
This role would ideally suit someone who is quite flexible with their time, semi-retired or currently works part time or casual doing something else and would like additional experience and income.
The applicant must be available for casual and often last minute cruises throughout the week. If all is going well there will likely be the opportunity for continued and more regular work during the summer season moving forward.
Pay is above award at $35/h and would be between 8-20 hours a fortnight depending on bookings and your availability.

Position summary:
· Skippering regular and private charter river cruises for up to 12 passengers, predominantly without additional crew.
· General vessel maintenance tasks as reasonably expected of a Coxswain. Including basic engine checks and maintenance, regular cleaning, refueling and equipment checks and maintenance.
· Ensuring a professional and quality experience for all passengers. Including a commentary of local history, birds, scenery, etc.
· Plating up and serving food to passengers.
· Sale of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and merchandise to passengers.
· Stock management and occasional collection.
Key responsibilities:
· Maintain a safe environment for all employees and passengers.
· Rectifying and reporting any safety or general maintenance issues.
· Maintain the boat in good working order.
· Food and beverage handling ensuring compliance with Responsible Service of Alcohol and Safe Food Handling requirements.
· Providing exceptional customer service to ensure a great experience for all passengers.
· Ensuring the vessel always presents to a high standard.

· Professional personal presentation
· Ability to provide excellent customer service and develop rapport with passengers and other local businesses we work with

· Good vessel handling skills
· Ability to adapt and good at problem solving under pressure.
Qualifications required:
· Coxswain
· Current First Aid and CPR
· Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) or able to get
· Current Australian Drivers' License
· Food handling certificate(30 minute free online course)
